There's a certain kind of musician I think who needs to write music, not because they need to write, but because they need to hear it. It's self medication, not through process, but through product.

I listen to my heroes and I want them to be more than just the people they are. I want them to be the cure. And when they're not, when they are human imperfect aging versions of themselves, when they seem to be focused on answering their own musical questions instead of mine, it sends me spinning.
